Measuring your windows for shades is easy! Just grab a pen, some paper, and a steel measuring tape, and you’ll be ready to order your custom made shades.

Measure the window’s width in at least three different places. In many homes, the window frame dimensions can vary slightly from the top to the bottom. Take a note of your narrowest width measurement to give you the best fit.

Measure the inside height at at least two places as well and write down your height measurement that provides the best fit.

When ordering, give us the exact dimensions down to 1/8″ and we’ll order the shade exactly to your specification.

Keep in mind that once made, the fabric will have a slight deduction on either side (about  half an inch on either side).

To install the product flush with the window frame, a minimum window depth of 2″ is required without a fascia and a minimum window depth of 4″ is required with a fascia.

This method is much easier to measure. Just take a measurement of the the width and height you want the rollershade to be. Consider adding 1-1/2″ to 3″ on the sides, top, and bottom to get a nice overlap on all sides.

If your window frame is not flush with the wall you may want to measure so that the brackets will go on the frame itself, that way there’s no obstructions when the shade rolls down.
